Chief Judge Charles Robert Jones was born on Sunday, September 10, 1944, in New Orleans, Louisiana and died on July 4, 20025
He served on the Louisiana Court of Appeal, Fourth Circuit from 1991 until December 2012 A veteran of the U.S. Army, Chief Judge Jones graduated from Xavier University, and Loyola University of New Orleans School of Law in 1975 . He served in the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office, and thereafter in the Orleans Public Defender’s Office. He was elected to the Louisiana House of Representatives and served from 1984 to 1991, before embarking on a judicial career in the Fourth Circuit.
